Deviant but Good: Deviant Dale’s IPA

Deviant Dale’s IPA 8% ABV 85 IBU Northern Colorado is getting pounded with snow right now, with an expected 6-12 inches in 24 hours.  While some may reach for a nice dark and heavy porter or stout…I break the mold and reach for Deviant Dale’s IPA by Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont, Colorado.  Right away this IPA stands out because it comes in a can and is packing 8.0% Alcohol by Volume, so don’t expect to get much done after this beer.   A full pint can that stamped 12-03-12, so we can expect a fresh IPA from down...

Woodstock Inn Pig’s Ear Brown Ale – 4.3% ABV Pig’s Ear Brown Ale? Sounds like soul food. I don’t know, I like southern cuisine, but beer and pork go together well only when they’re separate. Today’s offering comes by the way of Sculpin IPA, something I picked up when looking for an alternative to my go to IPA, Firestone Walker Union Jack. Little did I know I was about to find my holy grail of IPAs and have a party...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0DZ_Vge6v0&w=590 Rahr Snowmageddon 10% ABV They say everything is bigger in Texas. This is no exception. I got my hands on Rahr Snowmageddon during a recent visit home. This is an anniversary ale, available each February to commemorate the rebuilding effort that was made after the brewery was nearly destroyed by a massive snowstorm in February 2010. It is a delicious imperial stout with tons of aroma and flavor – dark fruit, chocolate and coffee. Enjoy the video and whenever you can, go enjoy some of this....
