Brownies with Founders Breakfast Stout



1/2 cp Founders Breakfast Stout

4 oz bitter sweet chocolate

1 stick butter

1 1/2 cp sugar

3 lrg eggs

1/4 cp cocoa powder

1 pinch of salt

1/2 cp + 2 tbls flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Pour the beer into a small saucepan and reduce by half. (This gives us all the flavor and not much liquid to make the chocolate sieze)

While the beer reduces place chocolate and butter in large bowl set over a double boiler and melt until the butter is almost finished melting and add the reduced beer and stir until all the chocolate and butter is smooth.Remove melted chocolate from stove and whisk in the sugar.

Whisk in eggs, one at a time, until each egg is full incorporated. Whisk in the cocoa powder and a pinch of salt.Using a rubber spatula fold in the flour until there are no streaks or clumps in the batter.

Transfer to a baking dish lined with parchment paper and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. (A toothpick will not come out clean on these fudgey brownies so don’t even bother testing)

Remove and cool before cutting and eating unless you like burning your mouth or your fingers.
